On the 30th of March was published new world universities ranking U-Multirank 2017, where ONPU participated for the third time. Unlike other systems based on external experts' assessments and the level of citations of university researchers, this rating allows to compare universities according to their own objective assessments, the level of research and teaching, the transfer of knowledge and technology, internationalization and regional relevance.
In terms of the number of participants, U-Multirank's 2017 ranking turned out to be the largest in four years of its existence - it was attended by more than 1500 universities from 99 countries, 3,284 faculties and 10,526 educational programs. The organizers composed 16 rating tables, according to different indicators of university activities. The rating tables allow each student wishing to obtain the required specialty to compare objectively and select a university in various aspects of its activity: the degree of internationalization, the methods and quality of instruction, and also according to students' feedback. Presented in the ranking data provide an objective basis for comparing universities on quantitative and qualitative criteria, of introspection and identify areas for further development.
The U-Multirank ranking was developed by an independent consortium led by the German Higher Education Center, the Center for Analysis of Higher Education Systems of the University of Twente and the Center for Science and Technology of the University of Leiden, both from the Netherlands. The full version of the rating is available at www.umultirank.org . ONPU as a participant in the rating received the right to use the logo-symbol U-Multirank 2017 on the university's website and in correspondence.
